The Students Need Culture, Athletics, and Kicks (SNACK) Concert was put on by Bill Graham to raise money for the San Francisco school district, which planned to cut student athletics due to funding shortfalls. Unannounced guest speakers included Marlon Brando, Willie Mays, and Reverend Cecil Williams. At the time, it was the largest benefit rock concert ever, and a truly unforgettable day for those of us lucky enough to be there.
