Missy Elliott's 1998 Concert History

Missy Elliott, is a rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer who has been named both the "Queen of Rap" and "Queen of Hip-Hop." In 1991, a year after graduating high school, she formed the R&B group Sista (originally called Fayze) with Timbaland acting as the group's producer. As a member of Sista, she joined the hip-hop collective Swing Mob. Upon leaving, she began a successful solo career, releasing six Platinum-selling albums between 1997 and 2005. A seventh album has been teased but not released. In 2019, she became the first female rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. That year, the Berklee College of Music also honored her with an honorary Doctor of Music degree while the UN awarded her the Women's Entrepreneurship Day Music Pioneer Award. Two years later, she was inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Hollywood of Fame and in early 2023 was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
