On 6 July 2011, Noel held a press conference in London during which he announced that Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will release a self-titled album on 17 October 2011, and the second being a collaboration album with Amorphous Androgynous would be released in 2012. He also announced that he would be going on tour, debuting in Dublin on 23 October 2011. On 20 July 2011, Noel released a 47 second trailer of his first single "The Death of You and Me". The video for the debut single was released on 25th July at 8:21am (GMT).
