Since January of 2009, Zach May and the Maps have been a regular performer on the Urbana-Champaign, IL independent music scene. The band was formed by Vocalist, Cellist, and Guitarist Zach May in order to perform several songs he had composed and recorded on his own while studying abroad in Mexico City and Uppsala, Sweden in 2008.
