This was the transition years of REO Speedwagon. Prior to this year they were a rock band that played some great songs like 157 Riverside Avenue. But in the 80s they became a pop band. It was a surprise to me, I was all about their earlier music but they had their most success with the switch to pop. I didn’t get to see them perform 157 Riverside Avenue live in 1981 but saw them later in life in Panama City Beach Florida and they did it then. Made my year complete.
