David Van Tieghem opened the concert and played solo with a lot of percussion instruments lined across the stage, including several 5 gallon water bottles. Patrick O'Hearn played the middle set. Yanni performed with two other keyboard players and a drummer, mostly from his first two albums. Van Tieghem's played solo. Frank Zappa and his wife Gail were in the audience to see his former bandmate O'Hearn. He was sitting in the lobby during intermission. Attendees were mailed a cassette tape that featured part of Yanni's set from that night. The evening was a showcase for Private Music artist, former Tangerine Dream artist Peter Baumann's label.
