Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne and Soil are inviting fans to A Night of Merry Mayhem, the 33-city jaunt formerly known as the Black Christmas tour. Osbourne changed the tour's name to the more jovial title in light of the events of September 11.

The two-month trek kicks off appropriately on Halloween in Tucson, Arizona, according to Osbourne's publicist. The creepy caravan will meander through the country before returning to the Grand Canyon State and wrapping up on New Year's Eve in Phoenix.

Plans for the tour, Osbourne's first solo outing in seven years, were announced in August, with only Ozzy and Zombie confirmed participants. Mudvayne and Soil are recent additions, according to the bands' respective publicists, though Soil will only play the trek's first leg, which ends November 29 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. A second-leg replacement has yet to be announced.

Mudvayne are also part of the Pledge of Allegiance tour with Slipknot, System of a Down and Rammstein, a trek scheduled to end October 31 in New Jersey. Which date Mudvayne will ultimately perform was unknown at press time.

Proceeds from specially produced "Ozz Bless America" merchandise sold throughout the Merry Mayhem tour will be donated to the families of firefighters and police affected by the World Trade Center tragedy, as will proceeds from tickets and merchandise sold at the December 23 stop in New Jersey.

Osbourne's Down to Earth drops October 13. The LP's first single, "Gets Me Through," has been permeating the airwaves since its September release to radio, and its Jonas Akerlund-directed video is slated to premiere Monday (October 1) on MTV and MTV2 (see "Ozzy 'Gets Through' Video, Plans Tour With Zombie").

Zombie will release his second solo album, The Sinister Urge, November 13, with its first single, "Feels So Numb," and accompanying video paving the way (see "Disco-Dancing Robots, Evil Clowns Star In Zombie Video"). Osbourne and Zombie collaborate on The Sinister Urge's "Iron Head" (see "Rob Zombie Shrinks To 18", Sings About Crippletown, Kroovy").

Mudvayne and Soil are making the rounds to support their latest albums. Mudvayne's L.D. 50 has sold more than 424,000 copies since its release last year, according to SoundScan. Soil's second album, Scars, was released September 11.

A Night of Merry Mayhem tour dates, according to Osbourne's publicist:
