This was an outdoor show at San Diego Stadium. There was also an unknown band called Shakin’ Street briefly in before Pat Travers, they were a Sandy Pearlman project that went nowhere. Cheap Trick had the plum early evening slot and they were at that time probably more popular and definitely hotter than BOC. They were amazing and lit the place up. BOC literally put people to sleep around me, Cheap Trick burned up all the energy that night.
While this was a monster lineup it did not happen two consecutive days at Jack Murphy Stadium. It happened in an intimate Little place in Downtown San Diego called "The California Theater. I know as I was in the front row. :O)
