Big Joanie are a great find: a black feminist punk band as they describe themselves. It is lovely to see! Music also interesting, but too long between songs and chat, although politics I totally agree with.
Courtney Barnett is just with drummer and bass player, smaller band than last time. She shreds a lot and is rockier than before- love it. Audience features quite a lot of people my age as well as young folk including inevitable hipsters. Barnett herself is touched by enthusiastic reception of audience, and also mentions how much she likes the venue, asking if any of us were present in 2018. Really great gig, could tell performer thought it special, too.
