Aug 15, 2020 (3 years ago) Ballard Park Ridgefield, Connecticut, United States
My first in 2020 after multiple prior postponements and cancellations of other shows. Socially distanced in a beautiful public park in Ridgefield, CT. We sat in beach chairs inside spray painted squares 6 feet apart. It was kinda goof but Grace was terrific.
She was solo except for a duet with Jennifer Crowell on Nothing But The Water. All acoustic except Ooh La La when she looked so cool crunching away on an old Gibson Flying Vee. All Nocturnals songs except Gloria by Them, Where Do The Children Play by Cat Steven’s and Tequila And You that she originally performed with Kenny Cheney. She laughed telling us that Cat Steven’s was the only artist her mom liked when she was a teenager.
Beautiful August afternoon. Laid back show that reminded me how much I’d missed live music and how much I like Grace Potter.
