Kurt Vile - Sounds more like Tom Petty live than expected. Called out the sitters (Iowa Citians are lame). Got off to a slow start but got it going eventually. He's got more pedals than a Toyota plant. The acoustic part seemed to really screw him up. Nothing earth-shattering but I'm glad I saw them.
PH - Just a guy and a guitar; very interesting. Uses a lot of looping and does it effectively.Often has four parts going from three different guitars. Seger-ish feel. Cool shit. Powers out a lot of sound. Voice also reminds me of Damon Albarn.
