Morning Teleportation - First off, the acoustics suck. They rock. Real psych rock sound. Like Hendrix or Moby Grape. Then Steely Dan or Ted Nugent. Then more Kurt Vile or Neil Young. Fucking fun. Skinny Chris Hemsworth on keys. Shaggy standing next to me. The videoboard is nice but the video looks like a VHS copy of a descrambled cable channel; looks like The Strokes video.
The Orwells - Garage/Punk. First thought was Nirvana but by the end realized they are The Pixies. Lead singer is captivating. It's hot. Dude on stage is dying from heat. Closing song was one of the best musical experiences I've ever had. I had some sort of actual experience. Crowd didn't seem to give them the energy they deserved. Holy balls there were hot chicks there.
Cage the Elephant - Dude was barking like a great dane next to me. Still can't totally get into the new songs. Still sound as good as ever, though. Some of the songs just don't fit them (sound like Black Keys tunes). Even Matt Schultz seems confused during those songs. Cold, Cold, Cold is a nice 60s psych romp.
