Foundation of Funk is a live performance band led by that pays homage to The Meters. It includes a regularly changing lineup of members but is consistently led by Zigaboo Modeliste and George Porter Jr., both founding members of The Meters. Those who have joined Modeliste and Porter Jr. on stage include John Mayer, Bob Weir, John "Jojo" Herman, Joe Tatton, Eddie Roberts, Ivan and Ian Neville, Tony Hall, Anders Osborne, Neal Evans, Jon Cleary, and Jimmy Herring among many others.
