We couldn’t get tickets for the show as they sold out so fast. We went to the Playhouse with the intention of peeling a poster off the wall - we were armed with a water pistol! Just as the show was starting, a scalper offered us tickets at the door price so we jumped at it. We were sat about three seats apart but some very considerate people switched so we could sit together. Those were the days when you could sneak in a wee whisky flask, which we shared a couple of drams of Jack. A great show, even though Bruce had to shut down a bunch of loud Americans for chanting Brooce after each song. He wasn’t happy and let them know it. Great songs from what was one of his best albums - Tom Joad. We even got our pistol back from security on the way out.
