In 2019, Daniel Gerard "Breland" released his debut single "My Truck." With the song reaching 26 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, Breland emerged at the forefront of the emerging country-trap movement, alongside artists like Lil Nax X and RMR. In 2020, Breland dropped two EPs: "Breland" and "Rage and Sorrow."
