Military Wives Concert History

Military Wives were originally a British choir formed by Gareth Malone through the fourth series of the BBC TV series The Choir. Malone formed the choir at two British Military locations in Devon (Chivenor and Plymouth). He sought to enlist voices for an all-women choir – the wives and girlfriends of military personnel deployed to Afghanistan.[1] The climax of the television series was the performance of the Military Wives at The Royal British Legion's Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on 12 November 2011.
