Nordra is an alias of US composer and multi-instrumentalist Monika Khot. In her solo work, self-described as militant ambient industrial, she uses heavily processed brass instruments, distorted guitars, as well as analogue synths, noises, and DIY instruments. Nordra's output includes scores for dance pieces and films. She is also one half of the psych duo Zen Mother and a touring musician with Daughters. An artist-activist, Khot has organized several benefit shows, campaigning for minority rights and opposing state violence.
