We’ve got some exciting news to share, Gigit is officially joining forces with Concert Archives! π If you’re not familiar with Gigit, you can think of them as kind of a Dutch version of Concert Archives.
Before diving into the full background and details, I know you’re probably wondering what this means for you, so weβll start there. π
What does this mean?
For Concert Archives users: Everything stays the same, except you’ll soon have more photos, reviews, and concert memories to explore!
For Gigit users: We’re currently working out the technical details with the goal of seamlessly moving all of your concert history (concerts, photos, reviews, and more) over to Concert Archives. You’ll continue preserving your concert memories, just on Concert Archives now, with additional features like videos, setlists, stats, and more!
For our combined community: Weβll alll benefit from a richer collection of concert memories and bringing even more music lovers together. π«Ά
Background Info & History
Gigit launched in 2019 and first reached out to me shortly after (January 2020) to get to know each other. (Little did we know that COVID was about to bring live music to a halt π·π)
Right from the start, I had a great connection with Gijs, Maikel, Jannis, and Geert from the Gigit team. Our chats were always full of ideas, shared experiences, and genuine enthusiasm for live music and a common mission. We were so well aligned that it always seemed like a collaboration would be natural. I especially admired their outstanding design and marketing. Their app and social media was beautiful and they had impressive partnerships with Pinkpop (the worldβs longest running music festival) and radio stations.

Over the years, we stayed in touch, always brainstorming how we could collaborate. Recently, life changes for the Gigit team presented that opportunity. Instead of a simple collaboration, we all decided that Gigit should become a part of Concert Archives entirely!
We’re thrilled to welcome the Gigit community to their new home here at Concert Archives. π€
This is an exciting step forward for both communities. Together, we’ll keep celebrating live music and preserving concert memories for everyone. π€©
Welcome aboard Gigit community!

trying to find me with Willie Nelson concert Lowell, MA – year 1999 or 2000
Hi Jean, was the concert maybe in 2001? Here’s a Willie Nelson concert in Lowell, MA from Apr 18, 2001: https://www.concertarchives.org/concerts/willie-nelson-e9ef5b85-d369-40ff-84e8-cf7060d91aac
Nobody has posted any pictures for it yet, but that extra info might give you more to research with π
During the mid and late 1960s, I was a Company Manager, Road Manager, and Tech Director. We did several coverts at the Memorial. We were impressed by the Stage House and its Proscenium. For such a hugh space it has good acoustics. The ability to become an ice rink was also amazing.
There is a lot of great history there. Any efforts to improve the facilities would be money well spent.
A new facility to do what the memorial can do would cos hundreds of millions m; and most likely not be as good or last as long.
Good luck. Break a leg.
Very cool, Arturo ππ
Hi, I can’t see my Gigit concerts in the new app. Can you help me with this?
Hi Jelle, I’ve just emailed you instructions for accessing your account π
