Often classified as a "classic-rock band," Bachman–Turner Overdrive is responsible for producing some of the biggest and most recognizable hits from the 1970s including the hit singles "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Takin' Care of Business." The band was formed in 1973 by brothers Randy, Robbie, and Tim Bachman alongside Fred Turner. Tim left in 1974 followed by Randy in 1977. With only two original members left, the band performed as "B.T.O." until disbanding in 1979. Tim, Randy, and Fred reunited in 1983. By 1987 both Randy and Fred had left. Though other founding members rejoined in later years, Tim was the only original member to remain with the band until its second break-up in 2005. Four years later, Randy and Fred joined together with other members as Bachman & Turner. When Fred retired from music in 2018, Bachman & Turner disbanded. On January 12, 2023, Robbie passed away. He was followed by his brother Tim on April 28, less than four months later.
