The Real Dukes of Dixieland started in 1951 with brothers Frank and Freddie Assunto. They played and recorded wth all the greats of their day such as Louis Armstrong and Gene Krupa. They also recorded on every major record label like Epic, RCA, Audio Fidelity, Columbia and Decca just to name a few. The Dukes ended in 1974 with the death of Frank Assunto.
