INXS (pronounced "in excess") were an Australian rock band, formed as The Farriss Brothers in 1977 in Sydney, New South Wales. The band's founding members were bassist Garry Gary Beers, main composer and keyboardist Andrew Farriss, drummer Jon Farriss, guitarist Tim Farriss, lead singer and main lyricist Michael Hutchence, and guitarist and saxophonist Kirk Pengilly. For 20 years, INXS was fronted by Hutchence, whose magnetic stage presence made him the focal point of the band.

I went and saw INXS with Jon Stevens as frontman on the lawns of the Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour. I'm pretty sure it was 2002 but can't find it on the list. Can anyone else remember this one?

Originally called The Farriss Brothers, INXS made their debut on August 16, 1977 at Whale Beach, a suburb near Sydney, Australia. The band remained active in the music industry for the next 35 years. The band formally disbanded in late 2012.
Originally, INXS was made up of
“Original Sin” is the first chart-topping song by INXS in their native Australia. Released on December 1983, the song became INXS's first official single to reach the Australian Top 10, peaking at number one in February 1984. In the US, the song peaked at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
INXS released their sixth studio album Kick on October 12, 1987. It sold over 20 million copies worldwide, including 6 million in the United States. Certified platinum by the RIAA, it became the fourth best-selling record of 1984.
INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence died on November 22, 1997, at age 35. Police ruled that Hutchence committed suicide by hanging himself. During his funeral, his band mates helped carry his casket.
After Hutchene’s death, INXS had trouble finding a new and permanent lead singer. After 8 years, they got creative and produced the reality competition show Rock Star: INXS with CBS where fifteen contestants competed to become the new lead vocalist for INXS. After weeks of competition, J.D. Fortune emerged as the winner.
INXS had four lead singers throughout the band’s 35 years of existance. Their first lead singer was founding member Michael Hutchence. He acted as the band’s frontman from 1977 until 1997. Other lead singers for INXS were Jon Stevens (2000–2003), J.D. Fortune (2005–2011), and Ciaran Gribbin (2011–2012).
After winning Rockstar: INXS in 2005, J.D. Fortune became the band’s lead singer. He was fired in February 2009 but returned around a year later. In 2011, he effectively left the band to focus on his own solo career. Ciaran Gribbin replaced Fortune for a year until the band formally and officially disbanded in 2012.
