The Coral Reefer Band is the touring and recording band of American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. Formed in the early 1970s, the band has been an integral part of Buffett's success, providing the rich musical tapestry that complements his "Gulf and Western" style. More than just a backing ensemble, the Coral Reefers are co-creators of the laid-back, escapist atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Jimmy Buffett brand. During live performances, they help transform venues into temporary Margaritavilles, complete with beach balls, leis, and Parrothead fans donning pirate hats and Hawaiian shirts. Over the years, the band's lineup has seen numerous changes, but it has consistently included a diverse array of talented musicians skilled in everything from guitar and drums to saxophone, trumpet, and even steel drums.
