Mingus Dynasty Concert History

Mingus Dynasty was formed in 1979, shortly after the death of jazz bassist and composer Charles Mingus, to keep the music of Mingus alive. Mingus Dynasty has featured many alumni of the Mingus groups. In recent years, it has become one of a trio of Mingus legacy bands: Mingus Dynasty is a septet, the ten-piece Mingus Orchestra, and the Mingus Big Band with 14 members.
