I had just turned 17 yrs old when I went to this gig at Marquee in Wardour Street. It was packed: Hot, sweaty, with the stink of beer everywhere. 999 were great.! A really tight band live. They played most of their classics: Emergency, Feelin Aright with the Crew, Out of Reach, etc. During the gig I was right at the front, and getting squeezed hard against the edge of the stage as everyone pushed forward. I must have looked in a bad way, as suddenly a roadie on the stage grabbed hold of me and pulled me from the crowd and told me to sit at side of stage. Which I did for rest of gig and had great view. After encore and end of gig, I went into dressing room with band (a heavily graffitied slim small, black room), and they gave me water, and then beer, and I chatted to the band for a while. They were really nice, friendly guys and it was a great gig. One I'll never forget...!
