This is Springsteen's second appearance at the Academy after he previously played here on May 28, 1976. Unfortunately the only known audio source is incomplete but includes the listed setlist up to and including "Backstreets". The last four tracks noted here were apparently also played, including a repeat performance of "Sea Cruise" that is unique to the 1976 and 1978 Naval Academy shows alongside one further performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on August 16, 1981. A midshipman threw his hat on stage during "Sea Cruise" - Bruce grabbed it and wore it during the song. "Growin' Up" features the spaceman story. Although "Badlands" is absent from the circulating tape (which fades in during the introduction to "Night") and an attendee recalls that "Night" opened the show, it is most likely that "Badlands" opened the set, as usual. The same attendee confirms that "Born To Run" appeared in the encores.
