Legend had it that Tampa Stadium had not held rock concerts after a rained out Led Zeppelin show led to a riot in 1977, and this show was the first event since then. Rod Stewart had been off the road, and his last album was a year and a half old when he was enticed to play this one-off to welcome rock back to the big outdoor arena.
