Double Headliner Concert Mar 19, 1979 (45 years ago) Sporthalle Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
The original Scorpions concert was planned earlier at the Satory Säale, Cologne, but was canceled. Can only imagine why. It were the days, when you never knew which guitarist was aboard, Michael Schenker or Matthias Jabs. Guess with Michael Schenker being out of order again and Matthias Jabs being fed up with the situation, they had no other chance to postpone the gig. The 19th of March was an official Eloy gig. Since they are both from Hannover, it gave the Scorpions the chance to hop on. But this is only my thought. It's not verified.
