Jun 8, 1996 (28 years ago) America's Pub Kansas City, Missouri, United States
My friends and I met Lonesome Dave Peverett, Tony Stevens, and Roger Earl in front of America's Pub, while waiting for the does to open. Rod Price was inside. During the show, Lonesome Dave said they walked to Streetside Records to see how their, then, fairly new CD, Return of the Boogiemen, was selling. (My second fav Foghat album, just behind Boogie Motel). They walked the streets of KC! It was so nice and gracious of them to stop and talk to us. The only time I'd ever been star-struck. After the show, I got one of Rod Price's picks. One of the roadies handed it to me, cuz I couldn't reach it. They had an autograph-meet-and-greet sorta cattle call after the show. And I got another Rod Price pick. This time, he handed it to me.
