Jack Russell's Great White

Play On 2003 Tour

Feb 20, 2003 (23 years ago)

The Station     West Warwick, Rhode Island, United States

Shortly Jack Russell's Great White began their set, a pyrotechnic display ignited acoustic foam around the stage, causing a fire that engulfed the entire building within six minutes. Most attendees tried to flee through the front door, causing a crowd crush that led to hundreds of deaths and injuries. The band's manager Daniel Biechele who ignited the pyrotechnic display was sentenced to fifteen years in pries and served four. A permanent memorial to the victims of the fire was revealed on May 2017 at the original site of The Station.
