Jack DeJohnette / The World Saxophone Quartet

Went with neighbor Terry Staats who I turned into jazz. Took the twins who were 4 yrs old. They were babysat the night of the show by The Beg family. At the start of the show the MC announced that 3/4 of the quartet were snowed in in Denver and trying to catch a plane to Albuquerque but he wasn't sure if they would make it for the show so refunds were available. Front row seats, show started with 1 sax and DeJohnette on drums. Wasn't sure what one sas and a drummer could do but they were amazing after intermission out walks the full quartet straight from the airport to the show! After the show, I asked David Murray, who was putting away his sax on stage, to sign something, and if I could get DeJohnette to sign. He told me there were some stairs and to go down them, and told me where the dressing room was. Terry and I found it but were hesitant to enter since that had a fully catered Southwestern buffett with fajitas and a;l; the fixings. So we were standing outside the dressing room when Murray came down, saw us standing outside the room. He then says
"what are you all doing? I told you to go in." He then took us into the room, I had DeJohnette sign and they then invited Terry and I to grab plates and eat with them!!! So we had dinner with Jack DeJohnette and the World Saxophone Quartet!!
