Yep @Ric Kilmer - this show happened long before the Showbox SoDo was a twinkle in a developer's eye. I was just pointing it out in case anyone was in charge of correcting the location data. :-)

It's been awhile, but my understanding was that there were/are TWO Showbox venues: the Showbox and the Showbox SoDo. Google it. (I just now confirmed it.)

Great show, but the Showbox was nowhere near SoDo. It was just Do, if we’re extending douchy realtor lingo. Adrian Belew was a revelation.

I also saw a solo Robert Fripp "Frippertroncis" show around this time (1979-82) in a small club across the street, down the Pike Place Alley near the now-famous "gum wall." I'll try to find the exact date.
