This edition of The LB Blues Fest featured an all British Blues lineup, my favorite genre of the Blues. Perro and I went and we had a great time. The Yardbirds were in excellent form, they were hott. Peter Green had his Splinter Group behind him, and John Mayall had his band also, and supported all the guitarists. At the end, all the musicians came out and jammed with The Godfather of British Blues, John Mayall. As John put it, a bunch of Limies jamming the blues. It was at this time that Kieth Emerson was invited to the stage, and played some of the best Hammond Organ blues I’ve ever heard. Mick Taylor was the one.
