[show #124] This was not only the first time I ever got to see Machine Head live (they have never been to Portland and only been to Maine once), this was supposed to be the first show my friend Todd Bennett and I went to together in years. Unfortunately his work made him work late that night. However, I did get to put another show under the belt with me and Jolene, so that's always cool. The place wasn't packed at all, it was quite depressing. Hopefully Machine Head decide to try again with better supporting acts. Darkest Hour was pretty good. Suicide Silence was way to screamy, and when the singer told everyone to serve up to him for a handshake (ode to Five Finger Death Punch), the dummy walked away to sing his song while security worked overtime for nothing and barely anyone got a handshake! Machine Head rocked though. I wish they played None But My Own and Davidian (maybe they did, we left about 20 or so min early)
