The Dark Tour On a side note, the lead singer for Heretic, Mike Howe, would soon go on to become Metal Church's lead singer for 3 albums in the late 80's/early 90's, then would leave the band and return in late 2015 to put out their 11th album, XI in 2016. At one point of this concert, when Heretic was on stage, Mike was slapping hands with people lined up in the front row. I was 3 rows back and was standing on tiptoes and stretching to get a hand slap. Mike grabbed my hand in a shake. I opened my hand to let go, but he didn't let go. He dragged me through the crowd from stage right to stage left and back to stage right again before finally releasing his grip. I met the guys in Metal Church in 2016 and Mike was with them then. As I was getting all their autographs and getting pictures taken with them, I told Mike that story. He loved it. Genuine down to earth guys who play kick ass Heavy Metal and take us to Church.
