Modest Mouse / Gogol Bordello

Modest Mouse - Isaac in rare (usual) form. Wearing a weird poncho. Which he then ditches for a shiny jacket (Aladdin coat). Ditches that, too. Weird, drugged up, wonderful Isaac came out tonight. But they sound great. Perfect balance between fucked up Isaac but still able to play his instrument. Stuck his pick to his head. Isaac did his best Jim Morrison (minus whipping out his weiner). Tiny Cities and Doin the Cockroach sounded incredible. Night on the Sun amazing jam. Fidel Castro on horns/violin/keys. Rollie Fingers on bass. Michael Phelps on drums. Great show.

Gogol Bordello - I still don't get their sound (gypsy punk?). I feel like I like some/parts of their sound. Fun live show, though. Flea on accordion. Never would listen to their music but might see them again. Little girl rockin' out all night.

Breese Stevens - Kinda cool venue. Reminds me of the soccer field from Bedknobs & Broomsticks.
