Stationed at Ft Drum, and went to the State Fair having no idea SRV was playing. Pure luck! Went straight to the outdoor stage, grabbed a seat right up front. It started POURING rain mid concert and the band had to leave the stage, but said they would try to come back out if the rain passed. We just stayed put and got drenched. When the band came back out, they went right into "Couldn't Stand The Weather" and then finished the set. It was definitely a "significant emotional event" in my life.
