Easily the best show I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing by farrr. I love them so much and I miss them dearly.
I took the tram and arrived at the venue just before 12pm, give or take 11:55am maybe? There were a ton of VIPs already lined up, some from camping out the night before,,just crazyyy. Not too long after 12pm maybe 5m or 15m past, two long black vans pull up (since we're VIPs and lining up around the back entrance area of the building) then security comes and barricades the area off. The boys start to exit the vans and head directly for the buidling, everyone SWARMSSS. They wave, I specifcially remember seeing Jongseob's hoodie and him staying a tad longer to wave hi before he headed in. I was estatic, it was my first time ever seeing something like this, unbelievebly exciting. But alas, despite having my phone out with the belief I was recording the entire thing...turns out I didn't even press record rip me. It's ok, I'll keep the memory with me forever.
Opportunity arose. People were everywhere, meaning gaps in the line oops. Before the boys arrived, I was chatting to the girl in front of me and so I conspired with her as we egged each other on to make a run for it. We debated back and forth because of course pushing in is simply a shitty thing to do, but who am I to pass an opportunity up. Sorry. We make our move,,,slowly but surely. Edge our way a lil further up the line, but not by much, maybe 25-30 people? It would be way too sus to go into the line completely since there were other ppl there still sitting in line who didn't lunge up. So, we sat on the curb, right next to the opening. Once people started to return to their spots, it was harder to keep our cool. We were approached multiple times by people asking what our number was (according to the fan numbering system). But alas, being numberless there was no point in lying. So, we just told them we don't have a number and kept sitting where we were sitting. They were most definitely mumbling about us but fair enough so would I. They asked us again here and there and handful more times but our answer stayed the same. Time goes by and we end up being friendly with them and have good banter. So, they kinda just agreed to let us stay as long as they went in ahead of us which was more than fair. They were cool! I think they said they started lining up either at 7am or 9am, not too sure. When I went to the bathroom, we sudenly could hear the boys soundchecking JUMP, and we were all having a lil party in the stalls ahahaha. It was surreal. A lovely lil moment with those gals. Like the feeling hit me and I was almost brought to tears fr.
Ok but I need to mention that it was also the most harrowing lining up experience simply because it was cold as fuck, and it started raining. I only had my light jacket but I was using it over my head to shelter me and the girlie next to me...so my back was drenched and my teeth were chattering.
While they were letting us in, I finally took up the courage to talk to the girl behind me. She told me she was on a working holiday from Japan and that her time would be up by the end of the year. I bonded with her over our love of Ateez after finding out she had seen them live about 8 or 10 times,,,even at Idol Radio. She then showed me some concert vids on her phone and myyy goddd she was sooo up and close I was in awe,,my chance will come one day! We exchanged Twitter's and Insta's. She was sooo sooo lovely, I'm so glad I met her! She was Theo biased and had a lil name sign for him, it was soo cute ahaha. I tried to help her get his attention during soundcheck and it worked yayyy ahah.
Now, soundcheck. Soundcheck was insane. FUCKING INSANE I TELL YOU. THE ENERGY WAS CRAZY. Everyone jumping up and down and singing their hearts out the entire time. They sung Jump and one or two more songs I can't quite remember but it was short but sweet. Fully unforgettable, I'm soooo glad I got soundcheck I love them so much.
Ended up in about 5th row and of course the show was fantastic, although I only had one spare battery, so I ran out pretty quick, phone storage too of course. So, I resorted to recording on the digicam during the end of the show lol.
I had so much fun, like I can't even be sad that it's over. I'm just too happy that it even happened at all. Always reminsicing about it hah. Bittersweet, but mostly sweet!
Fell in love with seobie a bit by the end. What a ball of talent, like the sickest fucking flow everrr. My piwon are the coolest!
At the end of the show, I waited with lots of peeps for the chance to see em leave. Waited maybe an hour and a half for them to come out. But i was silly and waited on the wrong side when I really should've been on the other side, so I mostly saw them wave out the window as the van drove out. But was still soo crazy ahhhh. They're so sweet!
What a time, I really got the full experience. I hope I can meet them next time fr ahhh <333
