Another TV taping I saw during this time (circa Sept. 1976) was "Van Dyke & Co."--starring Dick Van Dyke, with guest comic Andy Kaufman doing his Elvis impersonation.
I attended the taping of this show, hoping Johnny would be there. He wasn't. I eventually did get to see him appear at a seminar or something at Royce Hall, circa 1978.
