During the 15th song of the concert, Rocket Queen, Axl Rose pointed to a fan who was taking photos and screamed about how security was terrible. He jumped into the crowd striking several concert goers, took the guys camera, jumped back onstage and said "Thanks to the lame ass security, I'm going home." He slammed down the mic and walked off state abruptly ending the concert. What happened after that is since known as the "Riverport Riot." The audience was enraged that the show ended so abruptly and over the next 3 hours destroyed everything in the amphitheater including tearing down the video screens and even tearing the seats out of the ground. The band did not play in the St. Louis area again until 2017.
