Vans Warped Tour 2013

First Warped Tour
Went with Dad
Disgustingly hot out
Forgot to use sunscreen and got sun poisoning
Didn't know what to expect
Huge seas of people everywhere. Dad actually lifted em up so I could take a picture of the sea of people over the "bridge" to the other side of the layout.
On the blacktop (haven't done the same layout since)
Once inside the first band playing was Set It Off. They had a really small crowd but their music pulled us in. Cody Carson was very high energy. For the song "Dream Catcher" he started with a speech about how no matter what anyone says you should go after what you really want; don't let them hold you down or hold you back. He looked like he was saying it almost to Dad beucase he was the only "adult/parent" in the crowd. It was funny. Got to meet Cody Carson after the set.
Crowd surfed for the first time to Sleeping With Sirens. went down pretty fast because I dropped my phone.
Met Joel Birch from The Amity Affliction while walking around.
Met Caleb from Forever The Sickest Kids
Met Danny from Warped Roadies.
Got to meet Christofer Drew from Never Shout never and watch their set back stage. Dad had saw someone (Danny) leading a few kids towards the back of the stage area for Never Shout Never. He pushed me into the group and told me to go along with them. Once we got behind the barrier Danny realized I had joined along and called me out for it in a nice way and let me stay. It was beyond amazing to get to watch a set from back stage.
Saw Emma Marohn there throughout the day.
The sets were fantastic.
Missed a couple bands I wanted to see but overall a great first Warped Tour
