This is one of two shows at the Quiet Knight with especially significant memories for me. Since we drove over from the Quad Cities, we got there early (to allow for any travel delays, etc.) So, we paid our admission, got stamped, and that coincided with the end of Willie (and Big Bill's) sound check.

If you remember the QK's layout, it was an upstairs "L" with the short leg being the small stage and audience risers and the longer leg being the bar and pool table area.

Willie and Bill wanted to shoot some pool and their other band members split until show time so they asked us to join them in a game of 8-Ball. So... I've played pool with Willie Dixon.
