This show was Nickelback’s first venture outside of AB and just their 2nd show outside AB. Local heavy act Crank opened up (and also helped the band load in/out gear to their U-haul trailer hitch in the back lane of The Albert. The beginning of something huge (for them ha).
October 9, 1997 The Royal Albert, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
This show was a Power97 FM contest winners only event which saw 400+ pack the joint. Local act Demigod opened the show with an energetic set. Soon after, Nickelback would explode into international stars. You could feel their momentum.
