Went with my then girlfriend, Stephanie, who was a big SMB fan. I believe it was a birthday present for me or was close enough to it at the time. I recall it wasn't terribly as hot as it could have been that time of year in KC. And Starlight, in particular, doesn't get much of a breeze because of it's location.

A KU Law School friend invited 2-3 others to catch the show because she knew one of the band members at the time. She was able to get backstage, if memory serves. During the show, we sat in the same Liberty Hall balcony where I first saw Pulp Fiction with one of my college roommates.

Traveled to Seattle with the then-girlfriend to see the show. This time, I got tix on the left side to get a different view. Great show and crowd.

Went with the then-girlfriend. I purposely got tix on the right side so we'd have a better view of Jonny Greenwood, knowing he'd completely crush it, as he always does.

This is a scan of a two-sided card that was given out at the event, from what I recall from that weekend.

A friend and I were visiting Fullerton and, midway during our 10-day stay, I sought to catch the show in Irvine, since I liked both bands and was already familiar with Queensryche. Totally loved the outdoor venue. My first show away from the Kansas City area!

Queensryche opened in support of its self-titled EP with a peek at initial tracks from The Warning. They were on-brand, playing complicated songs with tight dexterity. The sound was clear and clean, which I came to expect when seeing them live anywhere. They were dressed in very progressive outfits, but that helped frame their sound.
TS was solid. Straight-ahead R&R, showing their experience playing the songs that made them famous.
Anyone who watched will remember the extra "entertainment," courtesy of two dancers who dropped into the show from the nearby "club." As the song goes: "It's only Rock and Roll."
