Shaq O Neal arrived to the event by helicopter, which donned a purple and gold Superman logo. The helicopter circled the crowd during Staind's set, specifically during Aaron Lewis' solo acoustic rendition of "It's Been Awhile". Lewis broke mid song to say "Will somebody get this fucking helicopter outta here!" He then led a number in the crowd in flipping off the helicopter. Shaq later joined 311 onstage for a live rendition of their collaboration song "Psycho".
