This was one of the controversial ZZ Top Black Crowes tour dates. Because Chris Robinson and I only heard him say this one time during the concert and that was Miller Lite is not sponsoring The Black Crowes. They would soon be kicked off of that tour for him saying that. Hands down the Black Crowes were the better band. It's ZZ Top was a better performers/showmen. But as far as who put on the better Nitty Gritty in your face hard rocking concert it was The Black Crowes. And all they had was a black stage with the kick drum with a band logo on it. I went to that concert not wondering or caring about who The Black Crowes were but that very next day I bought their cassette and became a huge fan
