Immediately after the US Festival in L.A. and just 2 days before recording Live Under a Blood Red Sky at Red Rocks, CO, the band stopped in Utah. Many in Utah had not heard of U2 including me. I heard portions of Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Years Day on the radio advertisements for the concert. From these short excerpts I bought tickets. I shook Bono's hand while he was on stage. He fell off of the stage right in front of me. There were only approximately 2,000 people in attendance and Bono let us know that he wasn't happy about the lack of attendance. In fact, U2 didn't return to Salt Lake City until many, many years later.
