This was technically the first concert I ever saw, I was born in 1980. I went with my mom. What is super weird is that August 27th would be significant to me because as an adult in 2006 this would be the day I would get married, and coincidentally also my now ex-husband was bornAugust 27th, 1981. So this date would be my first concert & my future ex husband's birthday/my wedding day!! How strange!!!

I was so flattered when the photographer for NIN asked me to stare directly at the camera just before NIN took stage. I was front and center, & had my huge red mohawk up and wearing a vinyl cop outfit. Hawk was at least 2 feet tall.

I remember it was the day after his birthday, little did I know in 2014 after my marriage from 2007 failed in 2012 I'd date a guy for the next 9 years of my life who shares the 1-5 birthday with him! I worked as a hot topic manager for 3 years by that point. I remembered seeing a girl about 14-17 go walking into General Admission in the same 9 inch Plat form boots that I literally lived in, plus I'd worn platforms everyday for 5 years by now. I remember shaking my head in disapproval thinking, that girls going to destroy herself in those boots in the pit. Sure enough she was the first person I saw getting lifted to crowd surf to the emergency services. This is the first and only concert I remember having to ask for ear plugs at. I was directly I front of stage left sound. I watched a girl next to me hand Manson a black plastic rose for his bday, he was now standing directly in front of me on the bars, I could've wrapped my arms around his torso, oh I wanted to but I behaved myself. Manson put the microphone in my boyfriend (who was like 6'3")at the times face, & he got shy & shook his head no at Manson in a response of extreme terror. Funny he went on to sing for a death metal band for years!

I believe L7 opened, they kinda became an opening act for a lot of bigger industrial/goth acts for many years. The next time I saw them was with Ministry around 1999/2000
