This show came about as a result of an encounter I had with Ace Frehley's (then) manager George Sewitt on 10 April at Billy's American Bar & Grille (see entry). The recently opened Black Cat owner Dante Ferrando wanted to give PENTAGRAM somewhat equal billing, as I had related the story of Ace Frehley needing a better venue, and a local band (PENTAGRAM) to draw a bigger crowd. Mr. Sewitt wasn't at all happy with the poster I designed, and the support bands name on the ticket...but he thanked me later. Ace had a packed club that night thanks to good promotion by Greg Turley, and myself. I thought the poster looked great George. PENTAGRAM (of course) was the main attraction.
