Attended with my sister. SRV's first tour after his rehab. Unreal energy and pure talent. Appeared with Johnny Copeland, Sonny Rhodes, and a cover band called Southbound. The Stray Cats were on the bill but they dissolved just before this show. This was an outdoor general admission show on a beach by a lake, with SRV on a covered frame stage. A sudden downpour happened mid-set, so Stevie yelled to the band "Do The Sky Is Cryin'!" and they did a fantastic rendition - possibly the first time anyone had heard it before the album. Right after that song, the sun came back out blazing. A Kodak Disc camera pic from that show is in my late dad's suit pocket, as my sister and I wanted him to take one of our happiest memories with him.

What a show. Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Phoebie Snow, Michael McDonald, Charles Brown. Mike did a Jackie Wilson tune, amazing.

Best part of the show for me was Brad Whitford stepping up for a one-man guitar solo while the band took a quick break. He tore it up.

George had a guitar malfunction and he almost lost it with a roadie/tech on-stage.
They were backed up by the Great Woods Symphony Orchestra. What a show.
