Was even bang voor een Amerikaanse show, maar holy shit wat is deze vrouw goed! Eerlijk, oprecht, goed bij stem en het publiek volledig aan haar zijde

Had ik verwacht dat de Lima zo uit zn plaat kon gaan? Nee. Was het vet? Absoluut! Er spat energie van het podium, gecombineerd met heel veel liefde voor het publiek en een vleugje humor (zoals een banaan, die de band aan iemand in het publiek schenkt)

ZOOOO MOOI
Een orkest is altijd indrukwekkend. Een orkest op Lowlands is nog indrukwekkender. Want op de 9e symphony van Beethoven werd gemoshed, gesprongen en meegedaan. De beleving was intens en toen het orkest met koor uiteindelijk bij het bekende ode an die Freude kwam ging de Alpha los en stonden bij mij de tranen in mn ogen

Wat deze drie voor elkaar krijgen is echt heel knap. Vaak merk je in een supergroup dat 1 lid de leiding pakt, maar Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker en Phoebe Bridgers staan als gelijkwaardigen op het podium en hebben het duidelijk erg leuk met elkaar. Tegelijkertijd hebben ze ook een boodschan over te brengen aan de wereld en ook die laten ze overkomen!

Was echt verrast door dit optreden. Muzikaal heel vrolijk, door de zang heel duister en tussendoor merkte je dat de band en het publiek ontzettend klikte. Zeker toen de frontvrouw vroeg om meer special effects (na confetti en bubbels in het publiek)

De Jeugd zijn ze zeker niet meer. Aan alle vier is te zien dat ze de 40 gepasseerd zijn en dat ze het niet meer volhouden om de hele show te springen. Maar toch, Lowlands en De Jeugd blijft een goed huwelijk. De Alpha staat ramvol en zelfs op de heuvel wordt gemosht.

It was amazing. The crowd was so much fun. There were circle pits, people doing pirouettes. After the show I watched the people come off stage (Working there) — the way all the participants had stars and some tears in their eyes made me so happy and emotional. There was one old man who was actually crying, and I had to look away. I will never forget this.
